I'm Mohsan Abasi, founder of Pivot Bureau. I build agentic AI systems for UK small businesses — receptionists that answer and book, WhatsApp automations that quote, and the AI-search work that gets a business found by ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. I write the code myself, so what you see in a demo is what actually runs.

Biography

I'm a hands-on builder rather than an agency middleman. Pivot Bureau is founder-led and deliberately small: I scope the work, build the system and ship it, so there's no gap between the person you talk to and the person writing the code. I'd rather point you at working software than a slide deck — most of what I've built is online for you to try, and the source for several projects is public on GitHub.

My focus is agentic AI: not scripted chatbots, but assistants that take real actions — looking something up, booking a job, sending a quote — and that know when to hand off to a human. A lot of the businesses I work with handle sensitive customer information, so I care about doing this privately, grounded in real facts, and honest about its limits. I'm based in West Yorkshire and work remotely with small businesses across the UK.

Experience — things I've built and run

I'd rather show working software than list buzzwords. These are live, runnable systems, several with public source code:

• AI receptionist (chat & voice) — assistants that answer enquiries 24/7 and book into a business's existing calendar, with safe escalation to a human.
• Grounded document assistant (RAG) — a "chat with your business documents" system that only answers from your own content, cites its sources, and refuses rather than guesses when it doesn't know.
• WhatsApp auto-quote — turns inbound WhatsApp messages into instant, structured quotes for trades, with everything approved by the owner before it sends.
• Free AI SEO audit tool — checks whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity can find and quote a business, and returns a prioritised fix list.
• The AI-search (GEO) series — a practical, no-hype guide to getting a small business mentioned in AI answers.

What I build with

AI automation

Agentic workflows that complete tasks end to end — capture an enquiry, make a decision on your rules, take the action, and escalate anything sensitive to a human.

n8n

My main automation backbone for wiring tools together — webhooks, CRMs, calendars and messaging — with the reliability logic (idempotency, retries, guards) built in rather than assumed.

Claude (Anthropic)

A go-to model for reasoning, tool use and careful, grounded responses where getting the answer right matters more than being chatty.

OpenAI

Used across generation, structured extraction and function-calling where it's the best fit for the job.

Google Gemini

Used for cost-efficient generation and for the AI-visibility checks that probe how answer engines describe a business.

Voice AI

Real-time phone and web-call agents built with Vapi, ElevenLabs voices and Deepgram speech-to-text — tuned for latency, interruptions and mishears, with recording-consent and safety handling.

WhatsApp automation

Official WhatsApp Business / Meta Graph API flows for self check-in and instant quoting — done through approved channels, never grey-area automation.

SEO & AI-search visibility (GEO)

The technical fundamentals plus the newer signals — schema, entity clarity, machine-readable facts and answer-first content — so a business is understood and quoted by AI engines, not just crawled.

Web development

Fast, AI-ready sites and the services behind them — FastAPI and Python back ends, Postgres/pgvector for retrieval, LangChain/LangGraph for agent orchestration, deployed on Cloudflare and Render.
